Revelation of the self

2025. Ungheni Sculpture Camp, 8th edition. Sandstone

Palace of Culture Square, Romana Street

The author of the work offers something interesting: a very concrete dynamic between weight and emptiness, between matter and direction, between what is polished and what remains raw. It is a self-search, but not necessarily a mystical one, but an existential one, very human.

The main volume is like a heavy mass that closes in on itself, but is pierced by a spiral void, like a breath.

The revelation of the self speaks of the moment when man begins to understand himself better. The main shape, rounded and with a void inside, suggests a search: you enter with your gaze as if into a small labyrinth and reach a center. The void is not a lack, but a space for questions and answers – the place where you hear your thoughts more clearly. The sphere above symbolizes a point of balance: the clear idea or the peace you reach after turmoil. And the rough surface shows that the path to oneself does not mean perfection, but the acceptance of the traces and experiences that shape you.
