The cosmic tree does not describe nature, but the invisible order that sustains it. It is a sculpture of tense balance: between two masses and a void, between earth and sky, between what we are and what we can become.
The vertical form, raised on a pedestal-pillar, suggests the axis mundi – the connection between earth and sky. The cosmic tree has no naturalistic branches; they are essentialized in massive volumes, a sign that it is not visible nature that is the theme, but the cosmic structure of existence.
The two lateral volumes, almost twin, are separated by a central fissure. The void is not a lack, but a space of passage: between matter and spirit, between finite and infinite, between identities that are sought. This opening activates the work: the gaze enters the sculpture.
The upper plate, like a roof or capital, presses down and orders the ensemble. It evokes the sky or the law that holds the world together. Its visible weight creates tension: balance is earned, not guaranteed.
The sandstone, with its chromatic variations and eroded textures, speaks of long time. The cosmic tree does not grow quickly; it is formed through accumulation and wear, like culture and memory.
