The icon representing Saint Mary Magdalene, rendered in a frontal position, with the bust slightly oriented, in a solemn and contemplative attitude. The style of the painting is neoclassical. The saint wears a dark red garment, a color associated with martyrdom, repentance and sacrificial love, and her head is covered with a light-colored veil, a symbol of purity and spiritual consecration. In her right hand she holds a vessel of myrrh, an essential iconographic attribute of Saint Mary Magdalene, which recalls the anointing of the Lord and her role as myrrh-bearer. The face is elongated, with fine features, large and expressive eyes, the gaze being gentle, humble, but deep, suggesting the experience of repentance and the encounter with the Risen Christ. The background of the icon is dark, almost monochrome, emphasizing the holy figure. Above, the inscription in Cyrillic alphabet is distinguished, which identifies the character: "Сфъта Мучiница Ытокма ку Апостолй Марiя Магдалина". The halo is rendered discreetly, with fine lines, chromatically integrated into the background. The pictorial layer shows pronounced degradation, with large areas of color loss, cracks and exfoliations, which indicates a considerable age and a long use in a cult context of the piece.
