"Gheorghe Asachi" High School Courtyard

The bronze bust "Gheorghe Asachi" symbolically marks the courtyard of the High School that bears his name and establishes a direct relationship between the educational space and a cultural model. The portrait of the sober scholar evokes the idea of rigor, study and public responsibility, and the durable material (bronze) suggests the continuity of the values that the school transmits from generation to generation. Placed at the entrance/in the courtyard, the work functions as an identity landmark: an exhortation to formation, character and respect for intellectual tradition.
