If One and One is a metaphor about unity and separation. Two almost identical forms, as if carved from the same stone, stand face to face, ready to unite, but separated by a line like a crack in time. The work suggests that history can tear and separate, but similarity and closeness keep alive the desire to return to the whole. The title, formulated as a condition, reminds us that unity is not automatic, but a possibility that must be fulfilled.
