The dominant form, tall and slender, evokes an archaic pillar – not a human body, but an axis of memory. The sculpture seems to grow from the ground like a vestige of civilization that refuses to disappear.
The curved element at the bottom suggests simultaneously: a wing (spiritual birth), a wave (the flow of time), or a protective hearth. It is the living, organic, feminine side of Cucuteni culture – linked to the earth, fruitfulness, cyclicity.
The surface is not smooth: it preserves traces, cuts, rhythms. These can be read as a prehistoric writing, close to the symbols of Cucuteni ceramics, where the meaning was transmitted through the sign, not through the word. We do not see a face, arms or recognizable details. The Cucuteni culture is not represented as a "man", but as a principle: continuity, balance between vertical (sky) and curved (earth).
The light color and the location among the trees make the sculpture seem like a fragment of solidified light. It does not dominate the space, but listens to it. Cucuteni is not a sculpture with a historical connotation, but a sign of deep memory. It is a form that does not explain the past, but lets it breathe in the present.
