Ungheni Palace of Culture

The Palace of Culture of Ungheni is the city's main public cultural institution, built in the year 1987, as a building intended for large-scale cultural and artistic activities. The building was designed from the start with a cultural function, being structured as large-scale ensemble, made up of several functional bodies.

The property has height regime ground floor + two floors (G+2F) and is designed for hosting and organizing shows, concerts and cultural eventsThe founder and owner of the building is Ungheni City Hall, the Palace of Culture having a central role in the cultural life of the municipality.

Mission

The Ungheni Palace of Culture has the mission to facilitate the community's access to culture, contributing to the sustainable cultural development of the municipality by connecting generations, stimulating community participation and diversifying the cultural offer. By initiating and implementing artistic, educational and community programs, as well as by making cultural spaces, infrastructure and necessary logistical support available to the public and partners, the institution creates favorable conditions for artistic expression, valorization of cultural heritage, affirmation of contemporary creativity and consolidation of local identity and social cohesion.

Vision

The Palace of Culture of Ungheni municipality aims to be a cultural reference space for the community, which ensures the continuity of local cultural life, capitalizes on the artistic potential of the municipality and provides the appropriate framework for large-scale cultural events. By opening up to institutional collaborations and adapting to the needs of the public, the Palace of Culture aims to strengthen the role of culture as a factor of community cohesion and local identity.

Activities and services

The Ungheni Palace of Culture carries out activities and offers cultural, artistic and community services, aimed at facilitating public access to culture and supporting local cultural life, through:

Organization and coordination of non-formal cultural, artistic and educational activities, addressed to children, youth, adults and seniors;


Ensuring the organizational, logistical and technical framework for the activity of the artistic collectives operating within the institution;


Providing spaces for rehearsals, creation, training, cultural meetings and socio-recreational activities;


Carrying out cultural, artistic and civic education activities through workshops, interest clubs and participatory actions;

Providing infrastructure and technical equipment for carrying out cultural activities, according to the regulations in force;

Facilitating the transmission of traditions and crafts through practical, demonstrative and interactive activities;


Community involvement in participatory cultural, social and civic actions;

Collaboration with cultural and educational institutions, non-governmental organizations and public authorities to carry out joint cultural activities;

Supporting the artistic and cultural initiatives of the community, within the limits of institutional capacities;

Promoting cultural activities through public and digital communication means.
