To the star

At the Star is a sculpture dedicated to Mihai Eminescu, built not as a realistic portrait, but as a symbolic presence. The elongated figure, oriented upwards, suggests a gaze towards the distance and towards the ideal – the state of search that the poem with the same title also carries. The dense texture of the surface preserves the traces of the work in stone, as a metaphor for time and memory, while the face remains clear, as a point of tranquility. The verticality transforms the sculpture into a landmark of the high school courtyard: a sign that invites reflection and the elevation of thought. The work reminds us that, although time passes, the creative spirit remains alive through culture and education.
